Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Bacon and Sage
It’s best to eat Brussels Sprouts in season, which is from October through March, when they have a sweet cabbage flavor. Once the weather turns warm they become more bitter and sharp.
Serves 6 / Prep Time:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine the bacon and oil on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until the bacon is crisp on the outside and tender in the center, about 10 minutes.
- Combine the brussels sprouts, sage, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add the bacon and oil and stir to thoroughly combine.
- Spread on the same baking tray, return to the oven, and roast until the Brussels sprouts are tender, about 20 minutes.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately.
