Visiting Wine Country? Calistoga and Healdsburg Travel Tips

“I remember sitting on one of the patio benches overlooking the vineyards, sharing a bottle of wine with the people closest to me, all of us being completely happy. I can actually picture it in my head like it was yesterday. None of us wanted to leave and we all can’t wait to go again soon.” – Andrew, Illinois

Take it from us (and Andrew). There’s no better way to spend an afternoon than leisurely sipping wine with friends. Add in the breathtaking views and delicious site-driven wines at our Twomey locations in Healdsburg or Calistoga, and you too will never want to leave.

When visiting wine country, it’s great to find spots like Twomey – Silver Oak’s sister brand – where you can instantly relax, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and savor the moment. To help you make the most of a day in Calistoga or Healdsburg, we asked our Twomey tasting room associates (and local experts) to share their don’t-miss spots. After hitting these favorites, don’t be surprised if you start wine country house hunting.

Happy travels!

P.S. If you’re a Silver Oak fan and haven’t yet discovered Twomey, this is your summer to visit. As we prepare to open our new Silver Oak Alexander Valley winery at the end of this year, we’ll be pouring Silver Oak and Twomey selections at our Twomey Healdsburg tasting room. Enjoy our full menu of wines, from Twomey’s elegant Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc to Silver Oak’s distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon.

Calistoga

At Twomey, savor an afternoon with friends around one of our new outdoor fire pits, enjoying a private tasting while you drink in views of our Sauvignon Blanc estate vineyard. After your tasting, the town awaits with quaint streets to explore (stop in for a bite at one of its many tasty restaurants), natural hot springs and spa experiences that will remove all words but “relax” from your vocabulary.
