Discover Our New Alexander Valley Winery
Located only minutes from downtown Healdsburg and our neighboring Twomey winery, our new Silver Oak Alexander Valley winery is open to the public for drop-in tastings and guided tours. With a design concept known as “Framing the Vineyard” by Piechota Architecture, our new home features breathtaking, panoramic vineyard views of the Alexander Valley from every point of the historic 113-acre property.
“California’s Most Eco-Friendly Winery”
Six years ago, we set out to build a new Alexander Valley winery with wine quality and sustainability top of mind. This means everything big and small. Walls are insulated with recycled blue jeans (seriously). Rooftops are blanketed with solar panels to help achieve Net Positive Energy status, meaning we create more energy than we use. More than 3,000 material choices were painstakingly reviewed and approved to avoid the use of harmful chemicals. Redwood siding, a key architectural detail that blends facilities into the rolling hills of the Alexander Valley benchlands, was reclaimed from 1930s fermentation tanks.
“The LEED Platinum certification process on our Napa Valley winery was a great exercise in making the most of our resources. In this new winery, we built upon those lessons starting with the initial design process and at every decision point along the way.”
